Four days in Sicily. 70 participants from an international tech company. The Mediterranean Sea right outside, centuries-old olive groves behind them, and the Verdura Resort as the perfect starting point for an incentive trip that should not only inspire but also unite.
Not a typical business trip. Not a tightly scheduled program. But a curated experience full of encounters, enjoyment, and experiences that you don't plan – but feel.
The opening could hardly have been more perfect. Guests gathered on the La Piazzetta at the Verdura Resort for an open-air welcome dinner. The aroma of grilled fish, fresh herbs, and Sicilian lemons filled the air as the sun slowly disappeared behind the hills. Laughter. Conversation. A glass of wine in hand. And that special feeling that the coming days would hold something extraordinary.
The best incentives arise where people step out of their comfort zone and simultaneously arrive fully at themselves.
The Art of Experiencing
Some opted for an early round of golf along the spectacular coastal fairways of the Verdura Resort. Others headed out onto the water for kitesurfing, where wind, waves, and freedom created the perfect backdrop for new perspectives.
Those who wanted to experience Sicily in its most authentic form immersed themselves in the world of local beekeepers through beekeeping – a surprisingly calming experience amidst nature, sustainability and centuries-old knowledge.
The next adventure awaited us on the open Mediterranean Sea: deep sea fishing. Far removed from everyday life and schedules, a feeling of freedom arose that is almost impossible to describe.
And then there was the kitchen.
Cooking together. Enjoying together. Learning together. The cooking class quickly became one of the most unifying moments of the trip and proved once again that good food brings people together – regardless of origin, position, or language.
Before the World Wakes Up
Perhaps the most magical moment began long before breakfast. Still in the dark, the group set off for the Valley of the Temples. Open exclusively for the occasion. No other visitors. No sounds. Just the ancient temples, the first rays of sunlight, and the feeling of being part of a truly special moment. As the sun slowly rose over Agrigento, bathing the millennia-old columns in warm gold, even the most seasoned travelers among the guests realized that some experiences only happen once in a lifetime. Breakfast al fresco made this morning utterly unforgettable.

Sicily Served at its Best
Sicily loves to tell its stories through taste. One such evening took the group to a traditional cantina, where regional specialties and the house wines were served in a relaxed, family atmosphere. Authentic. Unpretentious. Precisely what made it so special.
The final evening could not have found a better setting.
In the heart of a centuries-old olive grove, a long family-style table was set up under the open sky. Candlelight twinkled among the trees. Live music played beneath the stars. Large platters laden with Sicilian delicacies. An evening that began as a dinner and ended as a lavish celebration.
The dancing continued late into the night. Or rather: until sunrise.
